The KUCTE Anchal is one of the ten prestigious institution established by the University in the Eastern hilly region of Kollam District, Kerala State. The college which was originally started functioning in 1994 at Punalur was shifted to Anchal in 1998 in view of better facilities.
Kerala University College of Teacher Education(KUCTE) is directing run by University of Kereala.One of the first 16 Universities in India, the University of Kerala was founded as the University of Travancore in the erstwhile princely state of Travancore (now Thiruvananthapuram) in 1937.
The National Council for Teacher Education, was an advisory body for the Central and State Governments on all matters pertaining to teacher education.The college is working based on the affiliation of NCTE and the teacher training is based on NCTE rules and regulations
The minimum requirement of marks for admission to the B.Ed Degree Course is 50% for Part III or 50% in aggregate (Part I+II+III together) in Bachelor’s Degree (Science/Arts subjects) or 50% marks in Post graduation in the concerned subject.
